Seoul, Mar.28 (SANA) South Korea’s national football team endured a heavy 4-0 defeat against Ivory Coast in an international friendly staged Saturday as part of both teams’ preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ivory Coast took control early, scoring twice in the first half via Evan Guessand in the 35th minute and Simon Adingra in stoppage time (45+1).
The African side extended their lead in the second half when Marcial Godo scored the third goal in the 62nd minute, before substitute Wilfried Singo sealed the 4-0 victory in stoppage time (90+3).
South Korea are set to face Austria in a second friendly match in Vienna, while Ivory Coast will take on Scotland in Liverpool.
