Madrid, March 24 (SANA) Real Madrid players want head coach Alvaro Arbeloa to remain in charge next season, according to a report by Spanish newspaper Marca.

Arbeloa, who took over following the dismissal of Xabi Alonso, has gained the support of the dressing room, with players viewing him as a leader who maintains close relationships with the squad.

Marca said Arbeloa has given players greater freedom on the pitch, helping improve individual performances, while managing playing time effectively.

Although results have been mixed, the team has shown signs of stability in recent weeks, including notable wins.

Players are said to value Arbeloa’s communication style, citing his openness, clear explanations and willingness to engage with them, which has strengthened team cohesion.

They also appreciate his public backing and transparency, as well as his efforts to address weaknesses through tactical adjustments.

Support from players is often a key factor in a coach’s future at the club, potentially strengthening Arbeloa’s position ahead of next season.
