Muscat, Jan. 14 (SANA) Syrian Barada Club secured second place in the team competition at the Arab Chess Clubs Championship, held in Oman.
Barada Club finished second overall after its players earned three medals. On board one, Mazen Fandi took the gold medal, while Bashir Ayti claimed the silver on board four, and Talal al-Zaim earned the bronze on board five.
The championship followed the Swiss system and consisted of seven rounds.
