Aleppo, March 12 (SANA) Al-Ahli Aleppo edged visiting Al-Wahda 60–56 on Wednesday in a closely contested Syrian Basketball League game at Al-Shahba Sports Hall in Aleppo.
The game remained tight throughout, with both teams exchanging the lead during the quarters. Al-Ahli pulled ahead in the final minutes, capitalizing on Al-Wahda’s mistakes to secure the win.
Al-Ahli led 32–30 at halftime before Al-Wahda briefly moved ahead 48–47 in the third quarter. The hosts regained control in the final period to seal the four-point victory.
The result helped Al-Ahli rebound from a defeat to Al-Nawaeir in the previous round, while Al-Wahda suffered its second straight loss after falling to Al-Shabiba in its last game.
With the win, Al-Ahli Aleppo moves level with Al-Nawaeir at the top of the standings on 14 points, followed by Al-Shabiba and Al-Karama, each with 12 points.
