Damascus , Feb. 7 (SANA) – Hutteen moved up to second place in the Syrian Premier League on Saturday after edging al-Karamah 1–0 in a seventh-round match at al-Fayhaa Stadium in Damascus.
Hamza Sawwas scored the decisive goal to secure all three points for Hutteen.
Elsewhere, Damascus al-Ahli claimed a 2–1 away victory over al-Shouleh at the municipal stadium in Daraa. Richmond and Mido Nabil found the net for al-Ahli, while Hadi al-Malt scored for the hosts.
In Aleppo, Al-Hurriya defeated Al-Fotuwa 1–0 at Aleppo Municipal Stadium, with Ali Khalil scoring the only goal of the game.
The seventh round also featured a high-scoring 6–2 win for Al-Wahda over Khan Shaykhun, a 2–1 victory for Homs al-Fidaa against Omiya, and draws between Tishreen and Taliya (2–2) and Jableh and al-Jaish (1–1).
The round concludes on Sunday when al-Shorta face Ahli Aleppo at al-Fayhaa Stadium in Damascus.
