Doha, Dec. 01 (SANA) The Syrian men’s national football team began its campaign in the Arab Cup, held in Qatar, with a 1–0 win over Tunisia in a match played Monday at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Doha.
The goal of the match was scored by Omar Khribin in the 49th minute.
Syria will face Qatar in its second match on Thursday, before concluding the group stage against Palestine next Sunday.
The team had qualified for the group stage of the Arab Cup after beating South Sudan 2–0 in the playoff match held last Tuesday in Doha.
