Damascus, Feb. 01 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa held a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, during which they reviewed recent developments in the region, stressing the importance of supporting Syria’s political track and enhancing stability.
During the call on Saturday, the two sides also touched on the comprehensive agreement reached between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). President Macron welcomed the agreement, emphasizing the need to implement it in a manner that ensures Syria’s unity and sovereignty.
In this context, President Macron reiterated France’s commitment to continued coordination in support of Syria and the Syrian people on the path toward stability, justice, and reconstruction.
