The Syrian Foreign Ministry affirms Syria’s full support for Saudi Arabia’s legitimate measures to safeguard its security, stability and territorial integrity - SANA

Damascus, Oct. 2 (SANA) The Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemned the targeting by Houthi militias of a power distribution station in Medina, Saudi Arabia, describing the attack as a flagrant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and international law.

In a statement issued Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed Syria’s full support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all legitimate measures it takes to safeguard its security, stability and territorial integrity.

The ministry stressed the need for an immediate halt to attacks targeting civilian objects and holy sites.

Earlier on Thursday, Maj. Gen. Turki al-Maliki, spokesman for the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, said that the Houthi militia targeted the Taiba electricity distribution station in Medina in the early hours of Sept. 29.
