Ankara, July 7 (SANA)  U.S. President Donald Trump praised the achievements made by President Ahmad al‑Sharaa in Syria over the past 18 months.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump told reporters during his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Ankara that “President Ahmad al‑Sharaa has done a remarkable job, achieving stability in his country over the past 18 months, and managing to unify the entire nation.”

The NATO Summit is being held in Ankara with the participation of leaders of the alliance’s 32 member states. The two‑day gathering focuses on strengthening European defense spending, concluding new arms deals, discussing support for Ukraine, and addressing burden-sharing. Within the alliance.
