Syria expresses solidarity with Qatar following Ras Laffan Industrial City incident

Damascus, June 22 (SANA) The Syrian Arab Republic extended its solidarity with the sisterly State of Qatar following the tragic incident that occurred at an industrial facility in Ras Laffan Industrial City, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries.

In a statement, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates reaffirmed Syria’s support for Qatar during this difficult time, extending its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

Earlier on Monday, Qatar announced that 13 workers had been killed and 66 others injured following an explosion and fire at the Barzan Gas Plant in Ras Laffan Industrial City. The incident occurred on Sunday evening, according to Qatari authorities.
