Antalya, April 18 (SANA) Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said on Saturday that the new Syria is determined to rebuild its state and avoid entering into any conflict, stressing that countries around the world support Syria’s stability and sovereignty over all its territory.
Speaking during a panel discussion on developments in the Middle East at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Safadi said Syria has emerged from 14 years of war and destruction, and that its new government is working hard to rebuild state institutions and restore normal life.
Safadi warned that Israel’s continued aggression and expansion through the occupation of Syrian and Lebanese territory poses a serious threat to security and stability in the Arab region.
He had previously reaffirmed during talks in Amman on April 12 that Syria’s security, territorial unity, and stability are key pillars of regional security, reiterating Jordan’s support for Syria’s reconstruction efforts and institutional cooperation.
