Damascus, March 8 (SANA) Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani took part via video link on Sunday in an extraordinary ministerial meeting of the Arab League Council to discuss Iranian aggressions on several Arab countries.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted on its Telegram channel that al-Shaibani joined the emergency session held by Arab foreign ministers to address the escalating regional situation and Iranian attacks on member states.
The meeting was convened amid rising tensions in the Middle East following Iranian missile and drone attacks on a number of countries in the region.
Regional tensions have escalated sharply in recent days after a wave of Iranian strikes targeting several countries in response to U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran. The developments have raised concerns about the risk of a wider conflict in the Middle East.
