Ankara, Jan.15 (SANA) The Turkish Ministry of Defense reiterated Ankara’s support for Syria, stressing that the security of the two countries is interconnected and inseparable, adding it would provide assistance to Syria in its fight against terrorist organizations if requested.
“We reaffirm that we do not see Syria’s security as separate from our own. Within the principle of one state, one army, we will provide support to Syria in its war against terrorist organizations if requested, based on Syria’s unity and territorial integrity,” Anadolu news Agency quoted a ministry source as saying.
The source added that the operation, carried out by the Syrian Arab Army in Aleppo, was based on the principle of equality among the components of the Syrian people and aimed at unity and territorial integrity.
