Damascus, Jan. 10 (SANA) The Syrian Arab Republic has condemned in the strongest terms the targeting of government buildings and residential neighborhoods in Aleppo with drones, describing the escalation as a terrorist attack that endangers civilians and violates existing security agreements.
In a written statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that the attacks highlight the necessity of recent law-enforcement measures in Sheikh Maqsoud and Al-Ashrafieh to restore order and reaffirm state authority.
The ministry stressed that such hostile acts will not deter the government from protecting citizens and eliminating unlawful armed activity.
It held the perpetrators fully responsible and vowed legal and criminal prosecution to ensure accountability for crimes against civilians and state institutions.
The statement also urged the international community to condemn these terrorist operations and support Syria’s efforts to combat terrorism and strengthen security and stability.
