Damascus, Dec. 8 (SANA) The Azerbaijani Embassy in Damascus expressed its support for the Syrian people on Monday as the country marked the first anniversary of its liberation.
In a statement posted on X, the embassy said the anniversary commemorates “the return of Damascus to its people” and the end of “injustice and violence,” praising the “great sacrifices” Syrians made during past years.
The embassy also highlighted Syrians’ determination to rebuild the country across multiple sectors, noting that these efforts inspire confidence in Syria’s ability to construct a state capable of achieving significant progress.
Across Syria, hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets to mark the first anniversary of liberation, expressing hopes for a future of peace, freedom, and prosperity.
