Qatar condemns Israeli attack on Syrian territory, calls for accountability

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs “strongly condemned” the Israeli attack on Friday in the town of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside, which resulted in civilian casualties. It described the attack as a “blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and of international and humanitarian law.”

The attack took place early in the morning, claimed the lives of 13 civilians and injured 24 others, according to health officials.

The ministry reaffirmed in a statement Qatar’s “full solidarity with Syria” and its support for all efforts aimed at ending the attacks, ensuring Syria’s security, stability, and the unity and integrity of its territory.

The statement called on the international community to take immediate action to stop these violations, protect civilians, and hold those responsible accountable under international law.
