Ministerial meeting of Doha Emergency Summit starts with participation of Al-Shaibani

Doha – SANA

The preparatory ministerial meeting for the emergency Arab-Islamic summit began Sunday in the Qatari capital, Doha, chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and with the participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani and foreign ministers of member states of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Qatar News Agency “QNA” reported that this meeting comes within the framework of preparations for the summit that will be held tomorrow, Monday, which was called for by the State of Qatar following the Israeli aggression that took place on September 9, targeting the residence of a number of leaders of the “Hamas” movement in Doha, which sparked a wave of widespread condemnation in Arab and Islamic circles.

The ministers will discuss the draft final statement of the summit, which includes condemning the Israeli aggression and rejecting the violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar, in addition to emphasizing Arab and Islamic solidarity in the face of the Israeli escalation. The meeting also seeks to formulate a unified position that reflects the unity of the Arab and Islamic ranks, with a focus on the importance of diplomatic coordination in international forums.
