Syrian-Qatari talks in Geneva Highlights Women’s Empowerment and Education

Geneva, SANA-On the sidelines of the Geneva Peace Talks, Syrian Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Kabawat met with Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Hend Abdulrahman al-Muftah, and Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashidal-Khater.

The meeting explored Qatar’s approach to empowering women in political and diplomatic spheres, emphasizing the importance of female participation in decision-making roles.

Discussions also addressed the critical role of education and vocational training in supporting key sectors and advancing sustainable development.

Minister Kabawat also took part in the 10th edition of the Peace Talks platform, held in Geneva in conjunction with the International Day to Protect Education from Attack, alongside prominent thought leaders and policymakers.
