Qatar condemns Israeli attack on Doha, undertakes immediate investigations

SANA-Doha

The State of Qatar condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli attack that targeted residential headquarters housing several members of Hamas Political Bureau in the capital, Doha, stressing that the attack represents a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms and poses a serious threat to the security and safety of citizens and residents on its territory.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement Tuesday that security, civil defense, and relevant authorities immediately began taking the necessary measures to contain the consequences and ensure the safety of residents and surrounding areas.

The ministry added that Qatar “will not tolerate reckless Israeli behavior and continued tampering with regional security, as well as any action targeting its security and sovereignty.”

The ministry noted that investigations are underway at the highest level, and further details will be announced as they become available.

This attack comes amid mounting Arab and international condemnation of the Israeli targeting of Qatar. Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Iraq, and Kuwait declared their full solidarity with Doha, stressing that the incident constitutes a clear violation of state sovereignty and the UN Charter, and poses threat to regional security and stability.
