Jordan: Israeli Strikes on Syria Violate International Law, Threaten its Stability

Amman, SANA-Jordan strongly condemned the Israeli airstrikes on areas in Homs and Lattakia provinces, describing them as a flagrant violation of international law, a blatant assault on Syria’s sovereignty, and a dangerous escalation targeting its security and stability.

According to Petra News Agency, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Fouad al-Majali stressed the need to end Israel’s repeated attacks and actions undermining Syria’s security, which constitute violations of the UN Charter and Israel’s obligations under the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.

He reaffirmed Jordan’s full solidarity with Syria, emphasizing that its security and stability are fundamental to regional peace.

Al-Majali also called on the international community to shoulder its legal and moral responsibilities and compel Israel to halt its continued aggression and grave violations of international law and humanitarian principles.
