Wilson, American organization demand repeal of the “Caesar Act” imposed on Syria

Washington, SANA: Republican U.S. Senator and member of the Senate Joe Wilson and the Syrian American Alliance organization called for lifting the sanctions imposed on Syria under the Caesar Act.

Wilson said in a tweet on his X account: “Congress should support President Donald Trump and pass a full and comprehensive repeal of the Caesar Act,” noting the efforts of U.S. special envoy to Syria Thomas Barrack to promote peace in Syria and Lebanon.

He had earlier announced in a similar post that the time had come to fully repeal the Caesar Act imposed on Syria, considering it a priority for the administration of President Donald Trump.

In a relevant context, the Syrian American Alliance organization said it continues to work with determination and resolve to lift the sanctions on Syria and open the way to peace and prosperity there.

The organization said in a post on X: With determination and resolve, we continue our work to lift the sanctions and open the way to peace and prosperity in Syria.

The Syrian American Alliance for Peace and Prosperity is a non‑profit organization that aims primarily to promote peace, prosperity, and cultural understanding between the Syrian and American communities through advocacy, education, and humanitarian initiatives.
