Occupied Jerusalem, Oct. 11 (SANA) Eight Palestinians, including a pregnant woman, were wounded by Israeli occupation forces in Gaza City and Khan Younis on Sunday, while a young man was injured during an Israeli incursion into Qabatiya, south of Jenin, and 18 Palestinians were arrested in raids across the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian sources.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA, citing medical sources, reported that six Palestinians were wounded by Israeli occupation forces in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip. Two others, including a pregnant woman, were wounded when Israeli occupation military vehicles opened fire toward tents sheltering displaced people near the Shuja’iyya intersection east of Gaza City.
Israeli occupation artillery continued shelling areas east of Khan Younis, while Israeli occupation forces carried out a demolition operation east of the Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of Gaza City.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli occupation forces raided Qabatiya, south of Jenin, and searched a house, injuring a young man.
The forces also arrested 18 Palestinians during raids on homes in three governorates: nine in Tulkarm, six in Jenin and three in Bethlehem.
Early Sunday, Israeli occupation forces closed the entrances to Madama, south of Nablus, preventing residents from entering or leaving the village. They also closed the road linking Madama with Burin and two roads connecting the area with Asira al-Qibliya.
The latest incidents followed reports that Palestinians were injured on Saturday when an Israeli occupation drone targeted a group of people in Gaza City. Israeli occupation forces also carried out arrest raids in several areas of the West Bank.
