Occupied Jerusalem, Sept.07 (SANA) The Palestinian Health Ministry said Monday that the death toll from the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip in Palestine had risen to 73,658 since Oct. 7, 2023, with 174,622 people wounded, according to a statement posted on the ministry’s Telegram channel.
The ministry said hospitals across the Gaza Strip received seven dead and 30 wounded over the past 24 hours.
It added that 1,352 people had been killed and 4,511 wounded since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10.
The ministry said a number of victims remained under rubble and on roads, while ambulance and civil defense crews were still unable to reach them.
The Israeli war has caused a severe humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, with widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure and the collapse of essential services. Restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation on the entry of relief supplies and materials needed for reconstruction have compounded humanitarian conditions in the Strip.
