Sweida, SANA – His Eminence Sheikh Yusuf Jarbou’, the spiritual leader of the Druze community emphasized that the Syrian state is the only party that protects all its citizens from all encroachments and abuses, stressed that the people of Sweida stand by their Syrian state and their belonging to their homeland and do not accept any foreign orientation.
Sheikh Jarbou’ said during a meeting with internal security commanders in Sweida and Daraa governorates: “we consider Sweida as a role model and example to follow for its patriotism, commitment and the commitment of its people to customs, traditions, religious and social norms, but what happened today vandalized many of these norms and traditions”.
Sheikh Jarbou’ called for the need to restore trust and prevent unacceptable encroachments and transgressions, stressing that it is the duty of the Syrian state to protect its citizens from all encroachments.
Sheikh Jarbou’ commended the speech of the Internal Security Commanders, describing it as encouraging and the first step towards building trust and as a sign of responsibility and love for the country and Syrians.
