Damascus Airport revives with the Dawn of FreedomDamascus, SANA- After 14 years of isolation, Damascus International Airport started to revive again with the return of thousands of Syrians displaced by the crimes of the former regime, and with the visits of officials from various countries, marking the beginning of Syria’s opening up to the world.

Despite the big challenges, the government made significant efforts to restore Syria’s standing through balanced diplomacy. Among these efforts was the rehabilitation of Damascus International Airport to restore its status as a strategic and vital facility, which has led to the gradual return of Arab and international airlines.

The Syrian Civil Aviation AuthorityDamascus Airport revives with the Dawn of Freedom recently announced that Damascus Airport is operating between 22 – 25 flights daily, with an average of 3,500 to 4,000 passengers.

Numerous Arab and European airlines have resumed flights to Damascus airport since the beginning of this year.

With Syria’s international relations changing for the better, and numerous international airlines and companies resuming flights to Damascus, Syrian Airlines has also begun to regain its position in the heart of several Arab and international capitals.

The Syrian airlines is constantly working to expand its flight routes to include new destinations, facilitating access for Syrians to their homeland from all over the world.
