Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad Al-Shabani met Monday with Mohammed Abdiker, Director of Operations at International Organization for Migration (IOM) and Othman Belbeisi, IOM MENA Regional, in Damascus.
Discussions focused on existing cooperation relations, issues of common interest as of refugees, migrants, development, infrastructure and the conditions of internally displaced Syrians.
Minister Al-Shabani emphasized that the issue of internally displaced people is one of the government’s top priorities amid growing humanitarian and logistical challenges.
The organization outlined its initiatives and programs supporting displaced persons and improving their living conditions, reaffirming its commitment to sustained cooperation with Syrian authorities to effectively address the needs of affected communities.
