Damascus, SANA-The General Directorate of Meteorology in Damascus warned of a moderate heat wave expected to affect from Thursday, the 26th, through the 28th of this month.
In a statement posted on its official Facebook page, the Directorate noted that temperatures are anticipated to rise 6 to 8 degrees Celsius above average in the eastern, Al-Jazira, and Badia regions, and 4 to 7 degrees above average in the rest of the country.
The directorate advised taking all necessary precautions and avoiding direct exposure to sunlight during peak hours between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
