President al-Sharaa: Syrian women are pivotal element and essential partner in labor and construction process

Damascus, SANA-During a meeting held by President Ahmad al-Sharaa and his wife, Mrs. Latifa al-Droubi, and several Syrian women on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, His Excellency commended the pioneering and historic role played by Syrian women in various stages, from periods of hardship to the phase of liberation,affirming that Syrian women have always been and remain a crucial partner in the process of labor and construction.

President al-Sharaa stated that Syrian women have not merely witnessed pain, but have been creators of dignity, steadfast in the face of suffering, and committed to their rights and the rights of their people to freedom and justice, whether in the besieged areas or in displacement camps and host countries.

President al-Sharaa highlighted the diverse roles played by Syrian women throughout the years of the revolution, including as educators who instilled values ​​and principles in generations,, detainees who faced prison with resilience, and steadfast mothers and supportive wives.

His Excellency also recalled a personal aspect of his experience, mentioning the significant role his wife played during the years of the revolution and the extent of the difficulties and challenges she faced alongside him.

President al-Sharaa stressed that Syrian women were never marginalized, but rather were strongly present during the revolution. Today, they are present in the battle for reconstruction and building Syria’s future.
