SDF shells civilian homes in eastern Aleppo, Syrian Army Responds

Aleppo ,SANA- Syrian Ministry of Defense’s Media and Communications Directorate announced that Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) launched an unexpected and irresponsible artillery assault from positions near Jirah Military Airbase and the outskirts of Maskanah, targeting civilian homes in the villages of Al-Kiyariyah, Rasm Al-Ahmar, and Habouba Kabir in eastern Aleppo countryside. The attack resulted in the deaths of two civilians and injured three others.

A ministry source reported to SANA that following the escalation and civilian casualties, Syrian army units stationed in the area mobilized and began targeting the sources of fire. The response operations are ongoing.

The source emphasized that the Ministry of Defense remains committed to its duty to protect civilians, safeguard lives and property, and will spare no effort in fulfilling this responsibility.
