Head of the Turkish Red Crescent mission to Syria, Ferhat Sürmeli, stated in a statement to SANA that this aid is the second batch to arrive in Damascus after the fall of the former regime, and it includes food supplies and blankets.

Sürmeli said that the aid was distributed to a number of the neediest families in Damascus, in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, as a primary partner.

He added that the organization’s relief operations previously included northern Syria, but today they aim to reach all Syrian territories.

For his part, Acting Chargé d’Affairs of the Turkish Embassy in Damascus, Ambassador Burhan Koroglu, confirmed in a statement to reporters that his country is fully prepared to support Syria, which possesses great capabilities.

Koroglu said that his country will continue to provide support to the Syrian people to achieve what they deserve on the path of civilization and join the advanced countries in all fields.

Ambassador Koroglu congratulated the Syrian people on the victory, which will open many doors for Syria to rebuild and strengthen the infrastructure at all levels.

He noted that his country will be one of the countries supporting Syria in this field, in addition to making efforts to return Syrian refugees to their country.
