Damascus, Dec. 23 (SANA) Syrian anti-narcotics authorities said on Tuesday they had dismantled a drug trafficking and distribution network operating in the capital, arresting six suspects, including the alleged ringleader.
The Ministry of Interior said on its Telegram channel that the arrests followed a security operation based on surveillance and intelligence gathering by specialized units. About 162,000 Captagon pills were seized during the operation, the ministry added.
The Ministry said the drugs were confiscated in accordance with legal procedures and that the suspects were referred to judicial authorities for prosecution.
