Lattakia, SANA-The Lattakia Security Directorate announced on Friday that it arrested criminal Assef Rifaat Salem, who was involved in war crimes against the Syrian people.
Salem was one of the leaders of the so-called “Homeland Shield Brigade,” linked to the criminal Rami Makhlouf, who was involved in war crimes in the Zabadani and Madaya areas in Damascus countryside, and who participated in manufacturing explosive barrels that were dropped by helicopters and destroyed many cities and towns. He was referred to the competent judiciary to take the necessary legal measures against him.
