Damascus, 29 Nov (SANA)
Syrian Civil Aviation and Air Transport Authority affirmed Saturday that all aircraft operating and registered in Syria are safe and operate according to the highest international safety standards.
Speaking to SANA, the Authority said that the comprehensive technical assessment carried out immediately after the issuance of the emergency bulletin by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) showed that no Syrian “A320” aircraft falls within the scope of the bulletin.
The Authority added that as soon as the emergency bulletin was issued by EASA on November 28, 2025, engineering teams from both Syrian Air and Fly Cham conducted a thorough and immediate technical evaluation of all aircraft operating and registered in Syria.
According to the statement, the final results of the assessment showed that the bulletin does not apply to any A320 aircraft in the Syrian fleet, because the ELAC systems, responsible for altitude and stability control on its aircraft operate with the “L101” version, while the bulletin targets only the “L104” version.
