Syria’s General Corporation for Electricity Generation discussed with a technical delegation from the Saudi ACWA Power Company expanding partnership in developing power generation sector in Syria.
During the meeting on Friday, Director General of the Corporation Mohammad Fadila, briefed the delegation on plans to develop the sector and possible areas of cooperation.
The meeting is part of the agreement signed between the Saudi company and the Ministry of Energy aimed at developing Syria’s power generation sector.
In August Minister of Energy Mohammed Al-Bashir held talks with Mohammad A. Abunayyan, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA Power to explore prospects of joint cooperation in the renewable energy sector In Syria.
