Syrian president Ahmad al-Sharaa visited the Mariamite Church in Old Damascus on Sunday, where he met with His Beatitude Patriarch John X Yazigi, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East of the Greek Orthodox Church, at the Patriarchate.
The Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic reported that during the meeting, president al-Sharaa was briefed on the conditions and affairs of the Christian community.
The visit highlighted a shared commitment to strengthening national values and promoting unity among all citizens.
