Higher Committee for Parliament Elections Issues official results of the 2025 term

The Higher Committee for the Syrian People’s Assembly elections issued on Tuesday the official results of the parliament elections in the electoral constituencies across the Syrian provinces.

The committee said that the ballot boxes sorted out 119 Syrian names as winners in the recent parliamentary elections.

A total of 1578 candidates from 49 electoral constituencies across Syria, including 14 percent of women, ran in the elections, Chairman of the Higher Committee for People’s Assembly Elections, Mohamed Taha Al-Ahmad, said during a press conference.

“The high level of integrity was the most prominent feature of the electoral process, which took place across 49 electoral colleges across Syria,” Al-Ahmad said.

Earlier, Spokesperson of the Higher Committee for People’s Assembly Elections Nawar Najmeh said that Parliament is the official platform of national dialogue among Syrians, and fair elections reflect realism in the political action.

Najmeh added that the one-third portion appointed by President of the Republic has nothing to do with the electoral committees.

“I believe that President Ahmad al-Sharaa will consider correcting all negative aspects by appointing the final one-third of the assembly’s members,” he added.

Najmeh said that members of the Parliament who will have a seat represent all Syrians, regardless of their spectrum.
