Transport Minister tours the 62nd edition of Damascus International Fair

Damascus Countryside, SANA-Minister of Transport Ya’rub Badr conducted a tour at the 62nd edition of the Damascus International Fair, visiting the Saudi and Turkish pavilions, as well as sections of the Syrian pavilion.

In a statement to SANA, Minister Badr affirmed that the current edition of the fair reflects broad international openness and serves as a vital platform for showcasing investment opportunities across various sectors, especially transport.

The Minister explained that he observed significant interest from Arab and foreign companies in exploring investment prospects in Syria. He emphasized that the Ministry of Transport welcomes all initiatives in this field and is ready to provide the necessary facilitation and information to ensure the success of any investment opportunities in the transport sector.

Minister Badr pointed out that the ministry’s participation in the fair is under the slogan “Discover the heritage of Syrian railways… Join us in shaping the future of multimodal transport.” He noted that the ministry’s pavilion showcases the history of Syrian railways since the 19th century.

The Minister concluded his statement by saying: “We welcome all Arab brothers and international friends participating in this fair. We consider it a genuine gateway to new economic and investment openness in Syria.
