Damascus, SANA – Minister of Tourism Mazen al-Salhani said Thursday that the Damascus International Fair represents an important opportunity to revive tourism in Syria, which had been neglected by the former regime in recent years.
Minister al-Salhani articulated in a statement toa SANA reporter during his visit to the ministry’s pavilion at the fair that the ministry invited all craftsmen and handicraft workers from all provinces to the fair to showcase their products and the distinctive features of each province, which in turn reflects Syria’s civilization and heritage.
Al-Salhani noted that the ministry’s pavilion aims to support craftsmen not only in Syrian markets but also abroad by promoting their products and opening new horizons for them.
