Damascus Countryside, SANA-The Ministry of Interior announced that the General Directorate of Border Guards, in cooperation with the Anti-Narcotics Department, intercepted a shipment containing 60 kilograms of hashish that was being prepared for smuggling into Syria through the Lebanese-Syrian border in the Nabk area – Flita village.
The ministry stated that the operation involved an exchange of fire with the smugglers, who eventually fled toward Lebanese territory. The entire seized quantity was confiscated, and the necessary legal report was filed.
Investigations are ongoing to identify all individuals involved in the smuggling attempt and to take appropriate legal action against them.
