Minister al-Shaibani: Syria that we see today resembles the Syrian people

Damascus, SANA-Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Asaad Al-Shibani, said on Thursday that Syria that we see today resembles the Syrian people.

“During the past months, the Syrian diplomacy has not accepted the deteriorated situation that we have inherited, and there has been a tireless movement to regain Syria’s international presence,” Minister al-Shaibani said during a celebration to launch the New Visual Identity of the Syrian Arab Republic at the people’s Palace.

The Minister added “We met with many leaders who affirmed that they will provide support to our people to rebuild Homeland, and we carried, in each meeting, a new face for Syria.”

“We wanted to restore Damascus to its position as the gateway to the East, and our efforts were crowned to restore Syria to its position among the nations,” Minister al-Shaibani added.

Foreign Minister went on to say “our efforts were crowned by the lifting of sanctions and the raising of the flag of Syria at the UN headquarters.”

“Syria that we see today resembles the Syrian people, and the Syrian symbolism today is more open to reflect the Syrian man, his culture and his land,” the Minister added.

Al-Shaibani affirmed that recognizing the diversity of the Syrian people is a starting point towards the future, and today is a declaration of cultural death to what the ousted regime has represented of oppression and corruption.
