Emergency Ministry sets up two operation rooms in Latakia and Hama

Damascus,SANA-Syrian Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management announced  setting up two field operation rooms in the areas of Al-Haidariya in  Hama countryside and Beit Yashout in Latakia countryside, including representatives from various institutes, to follow up distinguishing fires erupting in the Costal and Hama countryside, and ensuring the rapid coordination to prevent expanding fires to homes and to protect civilians and their belongings.

Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, Raed Al-Saleh, inspecting opetations to put out fires in Latakia, said that the outmost priority is to preserve lives and property, noting to setting an urgent response plan which includes providing water resources, enhancing coordination between emergency teams in Latakia and Hama countryside.

Al-Saleh noted that fires has already arrived to to the homes of the people in the Anab area in the Hama countryside where fire brigades work on preventing it from wide spreading, despite challenges posed by the the rugged terrain, high temperatures and wind speeds, in addition to the presence of mines in some locations, and he revealed the recruitment of reinforcements from the governorates of Damascus, Rif Dimashq, Aleppo, Idlib and Daraa to enhance field efforts and control the fires.
