Damascus, March 16 (SANA) – The head of the Syrian Investment Authority, Talal al-Hilali, discussed prospects for investment cooperation with Belgium and the European Union during a meeting with Syria’s head of mission to Belgium, Abdullatif al-Dabbagh.
The talks focused on identifying priority sectors and exploring ways to strengthen economic engagement with European institutions and companies.
According to the authority, the discussions also addressed mechanisms to facilitate access for European investors to emerging opportunities in Syria, in line with efforts to improve the country’s investment environment and expand international partnerships.
The meeting forms part of ongoing coordination between the Syrian Investment Authority and the Syrian mission in Brussels aimed at attracting experienced European companies and encouraging investment that supports development and reconstruction efforts.
