Indonesia: 4 Killed, 5 Injured in Oil Tanker Fire

Jakarta, SANA-Four people were killed and five others injured Wednesday following a fire aboard a crude palm oil tanker near Batam Island in Indonesia’s Riau Islands province.

According to Xinhua, citing local media reports, the tanker Federal II was docked at the PT ASL shipyard for maintenance work when the fire broke out, resulting in the deaths of four technicians and injuries to five others.

Authorities stated that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
