Kyiv, Oct. 8 (SANA) At least 12 people were killed and 14 others injured Thursday when Russian forces struck the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk, Ukrainian authorities said.
The Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office said several Russian missiles hit the city at around 10 a.m., with a bus among the targets. It said the initial toll was 12 dead and 14 injured and warned that the number of casualties could rise.
Separately, the death toll from a Russian missile strike on Pryluky in northern Ukraine’s Chernihiv region on Wednesday rose to 14, including four children. Fifty others were injured, according to Ukrainian authorities.
The United Nations said Wednesday that attacks targeting civilians or civilian infrastructure in the Russia-Ukraine war violate international humanitarian law and called for an immediate end to such attacks and for civilians and essential services to be protected.
