Occupied Jerusalem, Aug. 16 (SANA) Three Palestinians were injured in an Israeli occupation drone strike in the central Gaza Strip on Saturday, while five others were injured in Israeli settler attacks in the West Bank and five Palestinians were detained by occupation forces, according to Palestinian news agency WAFA.

WAFA said an Israeli drone fired a missile at a motorcycle in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, wounding three Palestinians. One was in critical condition, and all three were taken to hospital.

Medical sources said the death toll from the Israeli war of genocide on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, had risen to 73,391, with 174,280 people injured.

In the West Bank, five Palestinians, including two women and a child, were injured when Israeli settlers attacked the town of Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

WAFA said two women, two young men and a child suffered bruises in the attack. Settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, also released livestock onto Palestinian land and damaged property and crops in the town.

Israeli occupation forces separately detained five Palestinians in raids across the West Bank. A Palestinian man, his wife and daughter were detained after forces raided a residential building in Jenin, while a young man was detained in the city’s al-Marah neighborhood and another Palestinian in Tulkarm Governorate.

Several other Palestinians suffered from tear gas inhalation earlier Saturday during Israeli occupation raids in several areas of the West Bank, while six Palestinians were detained in separate operations.
