Moscow/Kyiv, July 14 (SANA) Russia and Ukraine exchanged fresh missile and drone attacks on Tuesday, with Russian strikes injuring civilians in Kyiv and southeastern Ukraine, while a Ukrainian drone attack sparked a fire at a Russian oil refinery and damaged infrastructure in the country’s south.

According to Reuters, Ukrainian officials said Russian forces launched a missile attack on Kyiv early Tuesday, triggering fires at multiple locations across the capital. No casualties were immediately reported.

Tymur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv’s military administration, said the strikes hit two storage facilities in the Holosiivskyi district, setting both on fire. Mayor Vitali Klitschko said drone debris fell in an open area in one of the city’s eastern suburbs, igniting several vehicles.

Witnesses reported hearing several explosions across Kyiv, while air raid alerts remained in effect for about 50 minutes.

Elsewhere in Ukraine, emergency services said Russian drones struck residential areas in the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia, injuring 11 people. Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Syniehubov said a separate drone attack on a town near Kharkiv wounded six people.

In Russia, emergency services said falling debris from Ukrainian drones caused a fire at the Afipsky oil refinery in the southern Krasnodar region.

Authorities said the debris also damaged several private homes, a residential building and a facility near a railway junction, ignited two additional facilities and injured one person.

Russian officials also reported drone debris falling in an industrial area in the city of Salavat in the Republic of Bashkortostan, with no casualties reported.

Salavat is home to one of Russia’s largest petrochemical complexes, including an oil refinery operated by Gazprom.

The latest exchange of attacks comes as Russia and Ukraine continue to intensify their use of missiles and drones against cities, energy infrastructure and strategic facilities, despite ongoing international efforts to secure a ceasefire.

Ten people were killed on Monday, including four in the Moscow region and six in Ukraine, underscoring the continued intensity of the conflict and the limited progress toward a diplomatic settlement.
