Occupied Jerusalem, June 25 (SANA) The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,043, with 173,417 people injured since the start of the Israeli war on the Strip Oct. 7, 2023, Palestinian health authorities said on Thursday.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, hospitals across Gaza received the bodies of two people and treated 15 others wounded during the previous 24 hours.

Health authorities said 1,031 people have been killed and 3,309 injured since the ceasefire ended on Oct. 11 last year. They added that 785 bodies have also been recovered during that period.

Rescue officials said an unknown number of victims remain trapped beneath collapsed buildings or in areas inaccessible to emergency crews, which have been unable to reach them.

On Wednesday, a child was killed and several other people were wounded in an Israeli strike on the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis.
