Beirut, May 18 (SANA) Two people were killed and two others injured Monday in an Israeli airstrike targeting the town of Douris in Lebanon’s Baalbek district, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency.
Lebanon’s Public Health Emergency Operations Center said the strike killed two people, including a girl, and injured a woman and a child. The victims were reported to be Palestinians.
Israeli warplanes also struck a residential and commercial complex along the Deir al-Zahrani highway in the Nabatieh district, destroying the site, Lebanese media reported.
Additional airstrikes targeted the town of Tebnine in the Bint Jbeil district, while several homes were destroyed in the castle area between the towns of Harouf and Doueir in southern Lebanon.
Israeli artillery shelling also hit the Marj neighborhood in Kfartebnit in the Nabatieh district and the town of Deir Aames in the Tyre district.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry said Sunday that Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2 have killed 2,988 people and injured 9,210 others.
Earlier Monday, three people were reported killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Tyre district in southern Lebanon.
