Gaza, May 17 (SANA) Five Palestinians were killed and others injured on Sunday as Israeli airstrikes targeted multiple areas across the Gaza Strip, amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire reached in October last year.
Palestinian media reported that an Israeli drone strike targeted the vicinity of Shuhada al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, killing three Palestinians and injuring others.
In southern Gaza, one Palestinian was killed and several others wounded in an Israeli airstrike that hit a market in central Khan Younis, while another Palestinian died in northern Gaza after succumbing to wounds sustained in a previous strike in the town of Beit Lahia.
In a related development, Israeli artillery shelled several areas in eastern Gaza accompanied by heavy gunfire. Additional strikes targeted eastern and southern Khan Younis, while Israeli naval vessels opened fire off the coast of Gaza City.
On Saturday, Israeli strikes targeted a vehicle on al-Shifa Street in Gaza City, killing three Palestinians and injuring others.
