Beirut, May 14 (SANA) Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling killed 22 people across southern Lebanon within 24 hours, according to Lebanese health authorities and local media.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry said Israeli airstrikes hit several locations in southern Lebanon on Wednesday evening, killing at least 13 people and injuring several others. The strikes also caused significant damage to civilian property and infrastructure.
According to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA), one strike on the town of Arabsalim in the Nabatieh district killed three members of the same family, a father, a mother and their son. In another strike in the same town, two girls were killed after an airstrike hit their home.
In Nmeiriyeh, four people, including three women, were killed when an airstrike struck a house. In Roumine, a father and his two sons were killed after their home was targeted, while the mother was critically injured.
Another civilian was killed in an Israeli strike on a house in Shehour in the Tyre district. Additional airstrikes and artillery shelling were reported in other southern areas, including Yahmar al-Shaqif, Hadatha and Haris.
Earlier Wednesday, nine people were killed in separate attacks on multiple areas in southern Lebanon, bringing the overall death toll within 24 hours to 22.
The strikes caused extensive damage to homes and civilian infrastructure, according to local reports.
